PPH programs between the Danish Patent and Trademark Office and the Israel Patent Office (ILPO)

The Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) and the Israel Patent Office (ILPO) are extending its PPH pilot program and launching a PCT-PPH program. Both pilot programs will commence on 5 January 2013 with a duration of one year.

Under the Patent Prosecution Highway, an applicant receiving an Office Action from the DKPTO or ILPO stating that the claim(s) in a patent application has novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability may request that the other patent office fast track the examination of corresponding claims in the corresponding applications.

The Guidelines including the PPH request form to be used by Israel applicants are available on our website here.

Under the PCT-Patent Prosecution Highway, an applicant receiving a written opinion or an international preliminary examination report from ILPO that at least one claim in a PCT application has novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability may request that the DKPTO fast track the examination of corresponding claims in corresponding applications.

The Guidelines including the PCT-PPH form to be used is available on our website here.

Both Patent Prosecution Highway programs will leverage fast-track patent examination procedures at the DKPTO and ILPO to allow applicants in Denmark and the China to obtain corresponding patents faster and more efficiently.
