Objective

The project purpose is to built on the given assistance to the intellectual and industrial property authorities of the beneficiary countries, in the context of thier preparation for futire European Union membership and to facilitate in these countries the development of harmonised IPR granting and enforcement procedures and systems, in the area of internal markets.

Summary

The project addresses the following areas: 

  • Legal harmonisation
  • Information technology (IT) developments
  • National IP strategies and regional cooperation
  • Support to the integration of the beneficiaries in thier effort of assessing the regional IP organisations
  • Awareness raising in the societies
