Hong Kong Trade Development Council

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a statutory body established in 1966, and is the international marketing arm for Hong Kong-based traders, manufacturers and service providers.

The Council’s mission is to create opportunities for Hong Kong companies. With a network of more than 40 offices worldwide, and the city’s natural business advantages, the HKTDC provides a range of services to help global trade and promote Hong Kong as a platform for doing business with China and throughout Asia.  HKtdc-ipportal

DKPTO and HKTDC signed a cooperation agreement on 6 December 2012 during the Business of Intellectual Property Asia Forum (BIP Asia). The overall objective of the agreement is to establish a strategic partnership and hereby explore the opportunities for future cooperation in the field of IPR.

The HKTDC launched IP Portal in 2012. The IP Portal gathers the latest market news and hyperlinks to various established IP-related websites and online IP trading platforms including DKPTO IP-Marketplace.org. The IP Portal serves as a one-stop shop for industry players to conveniently access local and foreign licensable IPRs and identify suitable service providers in Hong Kong to facilitate the transaction process.  Please click here to visit the portal: www.hktdc.com/ip-portal
