Iceland was the first country to outsource its searches and examinations to us.
Due to the close historical bonds between Denmark and Iceland, we performed all of Iceland's work within the IP area until Iceland established its own national patent office.
When this happened, Iceland entered into a contract with us according to which we, with a few exceptions, perform all searches and examinations on behalf of Iceland's patent office. Iceland grants or refuses patents based on our search and examination reports.
The contract is renewed every two years.
